Revealing Texture with Contrast
Textures #2
Up close you can't really tell what the object is but the picture is revealing texture detail.
The pole is the foreground of the photo and the background and middle ground are the railing in the background. The light from the side helps reveal the texture.
The contrast of the white from the blue and black help make the texture stand out.
The light helps to show depth because it creates shadows. You can also see the white in contrast with the black and blue where the paper is ripped.
The direct light helped on the shiny object and it also showed the texture of the lines.
The foreground is the shell which has the revealed texture with the background consisting of multiple shells.
This is a close up of a fake flower which shows the fabric and reveals the texture.
The light creates shadows on the orange canvas and the canvas also contrasts the color of the flowers making them stand out. The foreground is the flower appearing at the top. The middle and background are the stems and the orange base.
